My name is Anja Smith:
I am a graphic designer and social media smarty-pants in the Upstate of South Carolina. I have worked in corporate and freelance settings for years to accomplish emplo
yer and client goals in web, print and creative design and marketing. My philosophy is driven by functionality and communication.
Advertising design in particular should be consistent with the quality of the brand and the goals of the company which it represents. It is for this reason that I am so focused on understanding the goals of each webpage, flyer and postcard, as well as the company as a whole.
Over the years, my own brand has evolved. Above, you will see my first business card - many of which still float around the community. Over the years, as my work moved from predominately print to web, I realized that my brand wasn't effectively communicating the kind of client I was actively searching. So I began to work on a look that was more consistent with my current work - the efforts of which you see before you.
I also began studying to better understand what all the fuss was about Tweets, Facebook Pages and blogging. I was just beginning to get a handle on these things when a few of my clients began to approach me about managing social media for them. I realized that most small business owners do not have the time or the knowledge to manage their online social brand. I began to offer this as a service and am excited to now be working with a handful of businesses as I fully craft this service. I am currently accepting new clients. In addition to my associates degree and certification in graphic design, I am currently enrolled in Furman University's evening studies program majoring in Business Administration. I would love to talk to you about your business and how we might work together.
